''Hope Springs'' is a 2003 romantic-comedy film, based on the novel ''New Cardiff'', by Charles Webb, known for his novel The Graduate. An English painter, Colin (played by Colin Firth), comes to the town of Hope, Vermont in the United States after a traumatic experience.
